Mobile Detailing Eastern Suburbs
Exceptional Detailing, At Your Door.

Motrivo is a fully mobile car detailing service built around the harbour driveways, clifftop streets and beachside apartment basements of Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs. We bring the entire kit to Bondi Beach, Coogee, Bronte, Double Bay, Woollahra, Paddington, Rose Bay, Vaucluse and Potts Point — all we need is a tap and a power point — and hand back a car with the salt film neutralised, the sand out of the carpets and the paint sealed. One flat price of $299 for any vehicle size, no deposit, and you pay after the service.

A Mobile Car Wash and Detailing Service Built for Salt Air, Sand and Security Basements

Cars in the Eastern Suburbs live a strange double life. A vehicle at Bondi Beach or Tamarama might cover forty kilometres in a week and still finish the month coated: parked with its nose to an onshore breeze, dusted with fine sand, and carrying a salt haze on the roof that reappears within days of a wash. A few ridgelines west, a car in Woollahra, Paddington or Darling Point spends most of its life underground, then comes out with a stale cabin, a film of basement dust and brake dust baked onto the wheel faces by short, stop-start runs into the city.

Motrivo exists to fix both without costing you a Saturday. Across the Eastern Suburbs, kerbside space is scarce, driveways are steep and half the parking is behind a security gate, and our setup is built for exactly that. Instead of queuing at a wash bay on Bondi Road or leaving the car somewhere and walking home along Campbell Parade, our detailer arrives at your address with everything the job needs. You keep working, the household keeps running, and the car gets a genuine multi-stage detail rather than a rushed rinse and a spray of gloss that lasts until the next sea breeze.

We have worked these streets long enough to know which ones need the compact setup and which buildings want a certificate of currency emailed a week early. We are not a franchise handing your keys to a rotating cast of contractors. The same checklist, the same machines and the same finishing products go on every car — whether it is a convertible on a Point Piper driveway, a family SUV at North Bondi, or a leased European sedan three levels under an Elizabeth Bay tower.

Eastern Suburbs mobile car detailing Sydney — Motrivo detailer machine polishing a car on a beachside street near Coogee
A typical morning: the van at the kerb, your driveway or basement bay, a tap and a power point, and a car that holds its finish through weeks of coastal air.
What We Do

Interior Detailing, Salt and Fallout Decontamination, Sealant Protection

Every booking is a full detail, not a wash-and-go. Here is exactly what happens at your kerb, driveway or basement bay.

Interior Car Detailing, Sand Removal and Hot-Water Extraction

A full vacuum including under the seats and along every rail, hot-water extraction on carpets and cloth seats where they need it, leather cleaned and conditioned, vents and console detailed with brushes, and glass finished streak-free. Beach sand ground into carpet backing after a summer at Bronte, damp towels left in a boot, sunscreen smears on door cards, dog hair from the Clovelly and Coogee coastal walks and the salty smell a car picks up sitting near an open window are all standard work here — never billed as surprise extras.

Exterior Wash, Salt Neutralisation and Fallout Decontamination

Pre-rinse, a snow foam dwell to float off salt and road film, a safe two-bucket contact wash with fresh mitts, wheels and arches cleaned with dedicated tools, then tar, sap, bird etching and iron fallout removed properly. Signature Plus adds a clay bar stage so the paint is glass-smooth before protection goes on. Door shuts, sills, badge surrounds and fuel flaps get their own pass, because salt crystals and sand collect there first on cars that spend their week within sight of the water.

Paint Protection and Sealant for Coastal and Street-Parked Cars

Protection matters more in the Eastern Suburbs than almost anywhere else in Sydney: a hydrophobic sealant that beads hard, sheds salt mist and bird mess far more easily, and makes the next few weeks of coastal parking much less punishing. If your car sleeps under a fig in Woollahra or a block back from the surf at North Bondi, protection is not a luxury — it is the difference between wiping a dropping off and paying to polish an etch out. We finish tyres, trim and exterior plastics so the whole car reads as maintained rather than merely washed.

Prestige, Convertible, Pre-Sale and Small-Fleet Presentation

Soft tops, prestige paint and delicate cabin materials get processes matched to the surface rather than one all-purpose bottle. We also prepare cars for private sale photography, dealer appraisals and lease handbacks, and run scheduled details for small business fleets and company cars around Edgecliff, Double Bay and Woolloomooloo. A decontaminated, sealed car photographs sharper, holds attention on a listing longer, and reads as a car that has been looked after rather than merely driven.

Car Detailing Prices Across Bondi Beach, Double Bay and Coogee

Two straightforward detailing packages, no vehicle-size loading and no travel fee anywhere between Woolloomooloo and Clovelly. The Signature Detail is $299 and covers a complete interior and exterior detail in roughly 3 to 4 hours. Signature Plus is $429 and adds clay bar decontamination, engine bay cleaning, a hydrophobic sealant and an ozone odour treatment across 5 to 6 hours. Elite Correction, our multi-stage paint correction package, is available on request for cars that need swirls and holograms cut out properly rather than filled and hidden for a fortnight.

The Process

How Our Eastern Suburbs Mobile Detailing Booking Works

Four steps anywhere from Potts Point to Coogee: no drop-off, no waiting room, no surprises.

01

Tell us your street and your car

Book online or call 0461 486 126. We only need your Eastern Suburbs address, the type of vehicle and whether the space is covered. A one-way Paddington terrace street, a Darling Point security basement and a wide Vaucluse driveway are each planned differently before we load the van.

02

We arrive with the full kit

The van carries every product, machine and tool the job needs. All we ask for is access to a water source and a power point at your place, plus roughly one car length of clearance so we can work the whole way around the vehicle without stepping into traffic.

03

The detail runs start to finish

Decontamination first, then paint, then interior, then protection and finishing. Nothing is skipped to hit a time slot, and on the exposed, sun-hit frontages around Dover Heights, North Bondi and Tamarama we work panel by panel so nothing dries before it is wiped.

04

Walkaround, then you pay

We hand the car back, walk around it with you in daylight, and only then take payment. No deposit is taken when you book, and there is no cancellation fee if the weather turns on us.

Local Knowledge

Salt Mist, Beach Sand and Fig Drop: What Eastern Suburbs Parking Does to Paint

A section you will not find on any of our other pages, because these four problems belong to these twenty suburbs.

Onshore salt mist from Bondi Beach to Coogee

The prevailing north-easterly carries a fine salt aerosol several streets inland from Bondi Beach, North Bondi, Tamarama, Bronte, Clovelly and Coogee. It settles overnight, dries into microscopic crystals on horizontal panels, and then draws moisture out of the air every morning — which is why a car parked three blocks from the sand feels faintly gritty by Wednesday even though it has not been driven. Salt also works quietly on window rubbers, brightwork, brake hardware and wheel faces. Neutralise it, then seal over it, and the same car stays glossy for months instead of days.

Sand: the problem that follows the car home

Beach sand is silica. It is harder than clear coat, and it travels — on towels, in boardshorts, under wetsuits, on the soles of six pairs of thongs. It packs into carpet backing, seat rail channels, boot wells and the rubber seals of the tailgate, and once it is there a domestic vacuum simply skates over it. It is also the reason we never wipe a dry panel here: one sandy microfibre across a warm bonnet at Bronte will leave marks that take a machine polish to remove. Every car gets a full pre-rinse and foam dwell first, and interiors get extraction rather than a surface pass.

Fig canopy, harbour bird traffic and clifftop sun

The mature Eastern Suburbs fig and gum planting through Woollahra, Paddington, Bellevue Hill and Rose Bay is beautiful and hard on paint. Sap drops onto warm bonnets, and the canopy concentrates bird traffic directly above parked cars — droppings that etch a visible ring into clear coat within a day of summer heat. Meanwhile the clifftop and ridge streets at Dover Heights, Vaucluse and Tamarama get unfiltered UV from sunrise, which fades trim, dries dashboards and accelerates oxidation on older single-stage paint. Shade and exposure both cost you, in opposite ways.

City-fringe brake dust and tunnel grime

Cars from Woolloomooloo, Potts Point, Elizabeth Bay, Rushcutters Bay, Darling Point and Edgecliff spend their driving life on short, congested runs — New South Head Road, the Cross City and Eastern Distributor tunnels, William Street at a crawl. That means heavy, iron-rich brake dust that embeds in clear coat and turns rusty-orange under a magnifier long before you can see it, plus a greasy tunnel film across the front bar and mirrors. Shampoo will not shift it. It takes a dedicated fallout stage, then a clay bar, then a sealant to slow the next round down.

Local Guide

Six Kinds of Parking Space We Detail Across These Suburbs

Almost every Eastern Suburbs car sleeps in one of these six spaces, and knowing which one tells us what to bring and how long to allow.

The harbourside driveway

Point Piper, Darling Point, Vaucluse and Rose Bay give us the most room we get anywhere in the Eastern Suburbs: a proper drive, a turning area and a garden tap where you would expect one. The catch is the gradient. Many of these drives fall steeply toward the water, so we chock the wheels, work from the high side, and manage runoff so it never crosses a finished panel or your sandstone. These are also our best multi-car days — set up once, work through two or three vehicles.

The clifftop and ridge frontage

Dover Heights, Vaucluse ridge streets and the upper parts of Tamarama and Bronte are windy and bright, with almost no shade at street level. Wind carries overspray and dries products faster than anywhere else we work, so on these jobs we shrink the working panel size, use longer-dwell chemistry, and often start earlier in the day to stay ahead of the sun. Worth telling us if the car sits fully exposed — it changes the products in the van.

The terrace and one-way street

Paddington, Woollahra, Bronte and parts of Clovelly have houses that meet the footpath with a strip of tile, an iron fence and nothing else. The car lives on the street out front, often nose-to-tail on a hill in a one-way. We park where we do not block the road, lay the gear tight against the kerb, work one side at a time and keep the path clear for prams and pedestrians. If you can hold a resident bay for the morning it makes everything faster.

The art deco block and shared laundry tap

Potts Point, Elizabeth Bay, Rushcutters Bay and the older streets of Edgecliff are full of 1930s walk-ups where parking is a rear hardstand and the only water is a laundry or garden tap around the side. Completely workable — we bring long hose and leads — but we plan it beforehand rather than discovering it on arrival. Let us know the access point and whether there is a gate code.

The security basement

Double Bay, Bondi Beach, Coogee, Edgecliff and Darling Point mean a great many Eastern Suburbs cars live three levels underground. Basements keep sun off the paint and airflow away from the interior, so we see stale cabin smells, condensation and dusty horizontal surfaces far more often here. Leave the keys at reception or in a lockbox, tell us the bay number and the clearance height, and confirm whether your building requires strata approval or an insurance certificate for contractors — plenty do, and a week's notice sorts it.

The workplace and village car park

The office towers and medical suites around Edgecliff, Double Bay, Woolloomooloo and Bondi Junction-facing Paddington mean many cars sit in the same bay from nine to five. Leave the keys with reception, confirm a tap and power point are reachable, and the car is finished before you head home. Weekday afternoons are usually our most open windows for exactly this kind of booking.

Mobile car detailing near me — what that means street by street

“Near me” is doing a lot of heavy lifting in most searches. In practice, detailing a surf-run wagon at North Bondi is a completely different job to detailing a convertible on a Point Piper driveway, or a leased European sedan three levels under a Double Bay tower. Geography matters too: Woolloomooloo and Coogee are barely nine kilometres apart, but the drive between them at 8am is nothing like the drive at 11am, which is why we schedule by pocket rather than first-come-first-served.

We plan for those differences before we arrive, and every Eastern Suburbs booking is scheduled with the street, the gradient and the building in mind. That is the practical gap between a genuinely local operator working these streets every week and a city-wide service that treats every postcode the same.

Mobile car detailing near the beaches and the harbour, six days a week

Weekday mornings are usually wide open across Bondi Beach, Bronte and Clovelly, weekday afternoons suit workplace and basement bookings around Edgecliff, Double Bay and Woolloomooloo, and Saturdays fill first with family cars from Coogee, Bellevue Hill, Rose Bay and Vaucluse. If you have a preferred window, book it a few days out and it is yours.

Why Locals Choose a Fully Mobile Detailer in the Eastern Suburbs

The obvious reason is time, and in the Eastern Suburbs time means traffic and parking. A proper detail is three to six hours of work, and nobody wants to add a crawl along New South Head Road or Bondi Road to that, then find somewhere to leave the car and organise a lift home. When we come to you, those hours cost you nothing — you work, you take a call, you walk the Bondi to Bronte coastal path, and the car is finished when you next see it.

The less obvious reason is quality control. In your own driveway or basement bay you can see every stage. You watch the foam go on, you see the brake dust bleed off the wheels, and at the end we walk around the car together in natural daylight before any money changes hands. Nothing happens behind a roller door, and no upsell gets sprung on you at a counter.

Then there is the pricing. Most detailers load their price by vehicle size, so the family seven-seater costs a third more than the hatch. We charge $299 flat, whether it is a small commuter at Rushcutters Bay or a big 4WD at Dover Heights. Combined with no deposit and payment only after the walkaround, there is very little left to think about.

It also helps that we know the Eastern Suburbs properly. A detailer who understands that a car parked two streets from the surf at Tamarama needs a different plan to one that never leaves a Darling Point basement brings the right consumables the first time, and that is the quiet advantage of booking someone who works these streets every week rather than passing through on the way somewhere else.

Car detailing Bondi, Woollahra and Coogee — three very different jobs

A Bondi Beach, North Bondi or Tamarama car is usually a well-used daily that lives outdoors: salt on every horizontal panel, sand through the carpets, sunscreen on the door cards and a boot that has carried a wet towel more often than not. A Woollahra, Paddington or Bellevue Hill car is more likely a low-kilometre second vehicle under a fig canopy — light on mileage, heavy on sap, bird mess and the fine dust of whatever renovation is happening two doors down. A Coogee, Bronte or Clovelly car sits somewhere between the two: family duty, school runs, sports gear, and a constant cycle of beach trips that never quite gets vacuumed out.

Booking the same package in all three gets you the same checklist with a different emphasis, and that is deliberate. Tell us which of the three your car is closest to and we will load the van accordingly.

Eastern Suburbs mobile detailing for fleets, company cars and pre-sale details

We also handle small fleets, trade utes, company cars and pre-sale presentation details from Potts Point through to Coogee. For businesses running vehicles out of Woolloomooloo, Edgecliff and Double Bay, a scheduled detail cycle keeps interiors liveable, signage looking newer and the cars presentable in front of clients. If you are selling privately, a Signature Plus before the photographer arrives routinely pays for itself several times over — a decontaminated, sealed car photographs sharper and holds a buyer’s attention on a listing far longer than a rinsed one. And for the trades working across Vaucluse, Rose Bay and Bronte, a regular interior reset makes the truck a far better place to spend a ten-hour day.

FAQ

Eastern Suburbs Mobile Detailing Questions, Answered

How much does mobile car detailing cost in this part of Sydney?+

Mobile car detailing in the Eastern Suburbs starts at a flat $299 no matter what you drive. A small European hatch in a Potts Point security basement, a convertible on a Vaucluse driveway and a large 4WD parked at North Bondi all pay exactly the same — no vehicle-size loading, no travel surcharge between Woolloomooloo and Coogee, and no card fee. Signature Plus is $429 and adds clay bar decontamination, engine bay cleaning, a hydrophobic paint sealant and an ozone odour treatment. You pay after the service, once we have walked around the car together in daylight.

Do you come to my apartment, house or workplace?+

Every booking across the Eastern Suburbs is mobile — we come to you. That might be a driveway at Dover Heights, a security basement in Darling Point, a resident bay behind a Paddington terrace or a staff car park in Edgecliff. We need access to a tap and a power point at the location, which is worth checking in the older art deco blocks around Elizabeth Bay and Rushcutters Bay where the only usable outlet can be in a shared laundry or garage wall. Tell us and we bring longer leads and hose.

How long does a detail take?+

In the Eastern Suburbs the Signature Detail runs roughly 3 to 4 hours. Signature Plus is closer to 5 to 6 hours because of the decontamination and sealant stages. Elite Correction, our multi-stage paint correction, is a full-day booking. Cars that live within a few streets of the water at Bondi Beach, Tamarama, Bronte, Clovelly and Coogee usually carry a salt film and a layer of fine beach sand that adds a little time, and we tell you that before we start rather than after the invoice.

What if it rains on the day?+

If you have a garage, carport or basement bay we work straight through — and in this pocket of Sydney most cars do. If the car sits on an open frontage at North Bondi or Clovelly and the weather turns, we call you that morning and move you to the next available slot at no cost. There is no deposit and no cancellation fee, so a rescheduled day costs you nothing but a change of plan.

Can you remove salt film, sand and bird mess?+

Yes, and it is the bulk of what we deal with in the Eastern Suburbs. Onshore wind carries a fine salt mist several streets inland from Bondi Beach, Tamarama and Bronte, sand works its way into carpets, seat rails and door shuts from every swim, and the fig and gum canopy through Woollahra, Paddington and Bellevue Hill brings constant bird droppings that etch clear coat within a day in summer. We lift all of it chemically, add a clay bar stage on Signature Plus, then seal the paint so the next round sits on the coating instead of the panel.

Can you work in tight streets, laneways and security basements?+

Constantly — it is the defining challenge of detailing in the Eastern Suburbs. Paddington, Woollahra, Potts Point and Elizabeth Bay have streets where cars sit nose-to-tail with barely a metre of clearance, and half the apartment stock parks underground. We park the van where it does not block the road, run our leads neatly, work one side at a time and keep the footpath clear. If your building has a wash bay, a visitor space or a loading dock we can use for the morning, even better.

Which suburbs do you cover?+

Point Piper, Vaucluse, Dover Heights, Bellevue Hill, Rose Bay, Woollahra, Double Bay, Darling Point, Elizabeth Bay, Potts Point, Rushcutters Bay, Edgecliff, Paddington, Woolloomooloo, Bondi Beach, North Bondi, Tamarama, Bronte, Clovelly and Coogee. One flat price applies to all twenty Eastern Suburbs locations, with no travel fee between any two of them.

Do I need to supply water and power?+

Yes. We need a water source and a power point at your location so the detail is done safely and to the standard we promise. In the freestanding homes around Vaucluse, Dover Heights and Bellevue Hill that is usually a garden tap and a garage outlet; in the apartment blocks at Potts Point, Elizabeth Bay and Rushcutters Bay it is often a basement tap and a common-area GPO. Both work perfectly — we just want to know before we arrive so the setup is planned.

Can you detail two cars in the same visit?+

Yes, and it is an efficient way to book. Two-car households across Rose Bay, Bellevue Hill, Vaucluse and Double Bay often run back-to-back details on the same day, which saves a second morning and lets us set up once. Tell us how many vehicles and what they are so we can allocate the right window.

Is a mobile detail as good as a workshop detail?+

The van carries the same machines, pads, compounds, extractors and sealants a fixed workshop uses — the difference is the address, not the standard. The one thing a workshop has is a roof, which is why we ask about covered space when you book. What you get in return is watching every stage happen at home and paying only once you are genuinely happy with the car.

Do you detail convertibles, prestige and European cars?+

Regularly. Soft tops get a dedicated fabric or vinyl process rather than a generic shampoo, prestige paint is measured and treated conservatively, and delicate interior materials — Alcantara, open-pore timber, perforated leather — are cleaned with products matched to the surface rather than one all-purpose bottle. If your car is under a manufacturer warranty or a ceramic coating, tell us and we adjust the chemistry and pads accordingly.

How do I book a detail?+

Book your Eastern Suburbs detail online through our booking page, call 0461 486 126, or email contact@motrivo.com.au. There is no deposit — you pay after the service once you have inspected the car. Saturday mornings around Bondi Beach, Coogee and Double Bay fill first, so a few days' notice helps us hold the window you actually want.
